NEW Playground

The MPS PFA is actively fundraising to finance the construction of the first phase of the new playground at Morinville Public School.  With a special emphasis on physical activity, imaginative play, and resources for children with sensory and mental disabilities, the playground will be a showstopper and a boon to the whole community.  The structures you see below will fill in approximately 1/3 of the current plot and will hold upwards of 120 children!

For info on how to donate click here or donate now by clicking on the button below:
The north side of the main structure: feature 3 levels, rock wall, bouncing draw bridge four slides, including a Dragon slide.

The South side of the main structure, features: musical instruments, climbers, three levels.  This structure alone can hold more than 100 children at a time, to give a sense of scale.

Two of these "cozy cocoon" sensory pods are being strategically installed to provide a safe haven for children with sensory challenges.  They will be placed facing away from the action of the playground but facing supervisors.  The cocoons can sway, wiggle, and gentle spin, all of which are of particular benefit to children with needs.  At the same time the windows allow supervisors to ensure that children remain safe.
An overview of Phase 1 of the Plaground.  This will fill the north east corner of the existing playground space.  It will include the large castle, two new sets of monkey bars (the #1 request from students), and two sensory pods.
